Cornelia Rindt - B.S., M.E.M., Director, Ecosystem Services
Cornelia is responsible for managing the development and auditing processes of forest carbon projects. In 2009, Cornelia completed a Masters in Environment and Management from Royal Roads University. Her thesis focused on reduced emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD) and its potential role in the Canadian regulatory regime and carbon market. Her professional background includes project development and implementation for validated and verified ISO 14064-2 restoration projects in British Columbia. Cornelia also assisted with the development of international forest carbon projects.
Since 2009 Cornelia has managed the Great Bear Forest Carbon Project and is responsible for managing the development of the Project Design Documents for all three regions of the Great Bear Project (North & Central-Mid Coast/South Central Coast/Haida Gwaii). This includes reviewing development items such as carbon modeling processes, baseline and project scenarios, leakage analysis, risk assessments and community engagement with participating First Nations, providing project updates and managing the validation/verification processes.
