Ms Cornelia Rindt   (B.Sc., MEM)
Director, Ecosystem Services

Cornelia Rindt joined Carbon Credit Corp in 2009 as Director, Ecosystem Services. She recently completed a Masters in Environment and Management from Royal Roads University. Her thesis focused on reduced emissions from deforestation and degradation (REDD) and its potential role in the Canadian regulatory regime and carbon market. Her professional background includes project development and implementation for validated and verified ISO 14064-2 restoration projects in British Columbia. Cornelia also assisted with the development of international forest carbon projects.

Cornelia is responsible for managing forestry and ecosystem projects for Carbon Credit Corp. She coordinates the development of Project Design Documents for validation to forest carbon standards. Cornelia is excited to develop real, credible and measureable carbon offsets from ecosystem services for the carbon market.

Mr. Tim Abercrombie   (M.Sc., RPBio, PMP)
Manager of Sales & Marketing

As the Manager of Sales and Marketing, Tim provides business development leadership in carbon offset projects, emission reductions and neutrality and for our CCAMS software. Tim leads proposal production and business relationship development. Tim also conducts project work in GHG emission reductions analysis, business case scenarios and climate change policy. Internally, Tim handles sustainability efforts including emissions reporting to The Climate Registry and development of GRI level sustainability reports.

Tim joined the carbon market after six years of consulting in environmental impact assessment. Specifically, impacts to water and aquatic life from large-scale mining, oil and gas development and exploration, pulp and paper, and urban and rural land development. By training Tim is a marine ecologist educated at the University of Victoria and Herriot Watt University, Edinburgh UK. His environmental work has led him around the world participating in multi-disciplinary teams, addressing environmental change in developing nations with international organizations. Most recently, Tim completed a Masters Certificate in Project Management course with University of Victoria Business.

Outside of work Tim manages and leads an elite road cycling team.

Mr. Jamie Gairns   (B.Sc.)
Director, Carbon Business Management Systems

Jamie joined CCC in 2007, bringing experience in various agriculture-related Remote Sensing & GIS technical and management roles, in both National and International arenas.

From 2003 to 2006 Jamie worked in Afghanistan first with the United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (where he managed the annual opium poppy survey) and then the UK Embassy & Afghan Ministry of Counter Narcotics (where he worked with field teams engaged in monitoring the Afghan Government’s Opium Poppy Eradication).

Most recently, Jamie has been involved in the development, support & operation of our Carbon Credit Asset Management System, from initial commissioning to directing the latest incarnation of the Carbon Business Management System.

Outside of work, Jamie dabbles with web design; writing fiction; Steampunk; graphic design; photography; and cycling; occasionally DJ'ing at The Morrissey Pub; he is an avid cook (with a rabid passion for seeking out the best recipes!); and he assists his partner Martina with her upholstery and furniture business.

Mr. Jason Cheung   (M.Eng., B.A.Sc)
Software Engineer

Jason joined CCC in 2009 as Software Engineer, and is responsible for developing & maintaining our CCAMS software platform. CCAMS is an open-source, Java-based web application powered by MySQL and Spring. It uses Google Web Toolkit (GWT) to allow a smooth user experience.

Since joining the team, Jason has been key to the expansion of CCAMS, making it an even more powerful tool for the aggregation of carbon credits, allowing us to add new protocols & new functionality, all of which are instrumental to the evolution of our carbon business.

He received his degree in Computer Engineering from the University of British Columbia. His studies ranged from software engineering to social and environment impact from human activities. He always looks for ways to reduce his carbon footprint.
